Taiwan's economy minister Kung Ming-hsin pledged $20bn more in US investment at SEMICON Taipei. The pledge builds on a trade deal cutting US tariffs to 15% in exchange for $250bn in Taiwanese semiconductor investment. TSMC's US program reached $265bn in July, covering 10 fabs.
