Magnet Forensics Bypasses Apple iPhone Inactivity Reboot

Magnet Forensics has developed GrayKey Preserve, a tool that bypasses Apple's iOS inactivity reboot, which since 2024 has re-encrypted idle iPhones after 72 hours. The workaround keeps seized devices in an After First Unlock state, preserving data indefinitely and blocking remote wipes. GrayKey is used by over 1,200 agencies in 40 countries, potentially expanding police access to locked iPhones.
