Russia Expands Crypto Mining Ban to Moscow

Russia added Moscow, the Moscow Region, and parts of Kursk Region to its crypto mining ban, effective Aug. 15, 2026, through Dec. 31, 2032. Resolution No. 936, signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, cites power supply concerns and amends the December 2024 order.
