Motherboard quality matters more than socket longevity

A long-lasting CPU socket is useless if the motherboard lacks quality VRMs, future-ready connectivity, and expansion features. The socket decides which CPU upgrades are possible, but the motherboard decides which upgrades are viable. Cheap boards become bottlenecks before sockets become outdated.
