Hormuz shipping falls to worst-case scenario

Shipping transits through the Strait of Hormuz fell to eight vessels on July 16, a three-week low, down from 15 the previous day. Total transits dropped 66.2% for the week of July 14-20 versus the prior week. Iranian attacks and a reinstated U.S. blockade prompted most vessels to stop or reverse course.
