UCD Physicist Designs Quantum Lego Materials

Dr Nuala Caffrey leads a Research Ireland project called Quantum Lego to design atom-thin materials stacked like plates. The team places metal atom networks on switchable layers to control electron spin. This work aims to make qubits less fragile and easier to control for future quantum technologies.
