Daedal raises $4M for fusion diagnostics

Toronto-based Daedal Systems raised over $4 million USD led by OMERS Ventures to build standardized plasma measurement systems for fusion developers. Founder Henry Gould, a General Fusion veteran, says in-house diagnostics waste capital. The startup will build three reactor diagnostic prototypes for pilot customers and has signed memoranda with Stellarex, Proxima Fusion, OpenStar and Marathon Fusion.
