OLED iMac Panels Gain Extra Layer Against Burn-In

LG Display is developing a five-layer OLED panel for future iMacs, adding a third blue layer to prevent burn-in and boost brightness. Apple requested 24-inch panels with 600 nits and 218 PPI. Both suppliers target 2028 development, with launch likely in 2029.
