IKEA's foundation structure blocks takeovers and taxes

IKEA is owned by a Dutch foundation with no shareholders, protecting it from takeovers and keeping its tax bill low. The structure uses two foundations: Stichting INGKA Foundation owns the operating company Ingka Group, while Interogo Foundation controls the brand. The arrangement has left the world's wealthiest charity running with minimal giving.
