Samsung Patent Blocks Spam Calls Before Connection

Samsung has filed a patent for a system that checks incoming calls against a phone's block list before the call connects, sending a rejection to the cellular network so the device never rings or lights up. The method cuts battery drain and notifications, but Samsung has not said if or when it will reach smartphones.
