A new Rowhammer attack called GPUThor bypasses ECC protections on NVIDIA GPUs, enabling DoS and root-level privilege escalation. University of Toronto researchers demonstrated it on Ampere-class GPUs including RTX A4000, A4500, A5000, and A6000, achieving up to 377,000 bit flips per GB and root shell access.
