London-based Foundational emerged from stealth with £8.2 million in pre-seed funding to scale Satellite Laser Ranging, a millimetre-precision method for tracking satellites. Investors include Inflection, BACKED, Final Frontier, Adjacent and Type One Ventures. The company, founded in 2025 by Hira Virdee and Dave Gooding, will expand its ground-station network and data platform for satellite operators, the European Space Agency and UK government agencies.
