Samsung Foundry turned profitable in June 2026, its first monthly profit in three years. The turnaround was driven by higher utilization of its 4nm process, increased production of HBM base dies, and improved manufacturing yields. A $16.5 billion chip contract from Tesla earlier this year contributed to the improvement.
