Microsoft Lays Off Shanghai Azure Staff

Microsoft laid off parts of its Azure cloud team in Shanghai. The severance package offers about three months less compensation than July layoffs and no signing bonus. Some staff were offered relocation to Australia but were laid off if they declined. Microsoft has cut over 15,000 positions globally since May 2025.
