Mila partners with PolArctic on Arctic sea ice

Quebec AI institute Mila partnered with Halifax-based PolArctic Canada to forecast sea-ice levels in the High Arctic. PolArctic gains access to Mila's AI researchers and recruitment. The partnership was announced at Mila's 2026 Indigenous AI Gathering. PolArctic uses satellite data, AI, and traditional Inuit knowledge.
