Finland's Licensing and Supervision Agency ordered Google's Finnish subsidiary to stop work at two data center sites in Muhos and Kajaani by 23 October. The halt covers about 300 hectares of forest felled and significant environmental changes. Google plans to plant trees across 130 hectares at Muhos while awaiting environmental impact assessments.
