Google to enforce Android app memory limits

Google will enforce Android per-app memory limits starting February 2027, warning that apps exceeding thresholds may be slowed, terminated, or lose Play visibility. The limits debuted with Android 17 on Pixel phones, as Pixel 11 Pro models ship with less RAM amid the global memory shortage.
