Nintendo president Shuntaro Furukawa acknowledged the Pokémon card scalping issue at a shareholder AGM. The Pokémon Company is taking measures including made-to-order sales, agreements with marketplace operators, and plans to use My Number Cards for online priority drawings. 10 billion cards were printed in 2025 alone, yet shortages persist.
