Making Old Computers Count To A Million

The National Museum of Computing launched the Million Measure benchmark to test how fast computers count to one million. The test runs on devices from Colossus to Raspberry Pi without specialized code. A 1995 BeBox achieved 0.004 seconds; older machines took minutes. The benchmark helps verify operational status of historical computers.
