Mitsubishi buys $7.5B U.S. gas fields from Aethon

Mitsubishi closed a $7.5 billion acquisition of Aethon Energy's U.S. natural gas and pipeline assets, becoming one of the largest gas producers in the country. The deal positions the Japanese giant to benefit from LNG exports to Japan and rising gas demand from AI data centers.
