Chery held initial meetings with Canadian car dealers just two weeks after Prime Minister Mark Carney allowed limited electric-vehicle imports from China. BYD, the worlds largest EV maker, plans to open six new dealerships in Canada and has started compliance procedures for importing passenger cars there.
