Apple restructured AI after 2025 exec meeting

A 2025 executive meeting triggered a major restructuring of Apple's AI efforts after the failed Apple Intelligence launch and repeated Siri delays. The meeting, called by retired COO Jeff Williams, excluded CEO Tim Cook. Apple Vision Pro lead Mike Rockwell volunteered to fix AI and Siri, taking over from then-AI chief John Giannandrea. Software chief Craig Federighi led most talks. The WWDC keynote is expected to be heavy on AI features.
