AGV Launches Helmet Designed to Break on Impact

AGV has released the Pista GP R3, a new MotoGP helmet featuring a 'release layer system' (RLS). The design uses hundreds of microspheres to create a sacrificial outer layer of panels that shear off upon impact. This system is engineered to reduce rotational forces during oblique hits, which are a primary cause of concussions.
