Greencovery Raises €1M for Cocoa Upcycling

Greencovery, a Wageningen-based FoodTech startup, has raised €1 million to scale its proprietary cocoa upcycling technology for industrial production. The funding round includes investment from ROM InWest, existing shareholder Brightlands Venture Partners, and a private investor. The company states cocoa is where it is reaching commercial scale, noting North Holland generates over 350,000 tons of food-grade side streams annually.
