VR Study Shows Fish Focus on One Neighbor

Researchers at the University of Toulouse use virtual reality to study five rummy-nose tetra fish. They find that each real fish focuses on only one most influential neighbor to reduce sensory demand, confirming past ideas about collective animal behavior.
