The UK Home Office's Atlas system, built by Accenture, Mastek, and PA Consulting for £79.7 million, went live without functionality to learn from asylum appeal outcomes. Appeals surged from 8,000 in 2022-23 to over 29,000 in 2023-24. A full rebuild of other platforms is required to fix the shortcoming.
