AWS published Dogwood Local Engine, a Rust library that checks AI agent tool calls against user-defined temporal policies before execution. It embeds into agent harnesses, returning allow or deny verdicts, and persists logs to survive crashes. AWS claims evaluation takes about 20 microseconds in tests. The release follows Dogwood, its governance language launched in August, and aims to prevent unchecked agent actions.
