Volkswagen recalls 73,000 electric vehicles globally due to faulty batteries that may trigger fires. The recall affects ID.3, ID.4, ID.7, and Cupra Born models from 2022 to 2025. Until a remedy is available, owners must limit charging to 80% of maximum capacity. 9,881 vehicles are impacted in Germany, while SK Battery America supplied the defective cells.
