Former Halo 4 mission designer Dan Callan said Don Mattrick, then Xbox head, proposed adding a Diablo 3-style real-money auction house to Halo 4 for selling mech skins. Colleagues reacted as if it were a great idea while knowing it was terrible. The feature was not added.
