Older iPhones have an unfixable security flaw - why it can't be patched and the models affected - ZDNET

Cybersecurity firm Paradigm Shift discovered a boot ROM vulnerability called usbliter8 in iPhones with A12 or A13 chips, including iPhone 11, XS, XR, and SE models. The flaw cannot be patched via software update but requires physical access to exploit. Apple's Data Protection safeguards remain intact.
