FSSAI Penalises Amazon, Flipkart, Swiggy, Zepto

India's FSSAI penalised Amazon, Bigbasket, Flipkart, Swiggy Instamart and Zepto for food safety and regulatory breaches under the FSS Act, 2006. Products including Happilo Date Bites and Datura seeds were flagged for misleading claims and prohibited sales. The action follows Maharashtra FDA suspensions of 14 dark stores and a sealed Zepto warehouse, amid rising scrutiny of quick commerce.
