Researchers at UC San Diego and Oberlin College built a coin-sized, Wi-Fi-enabled device that can hack Boeing 737 flight computers. It costs under $100, installs in 60 seconds via an unlocked exterior hatch, and can alter flight plans or make takeoffs unsafe. Boeing says existing safeguards sufficiently mitigate the risk.
