Tesla opened the JUNI x Tesla Battery Cell Giga Challenge for European startups. Applications close July 24, 2026. The challenge seeks battery technology to make cell manufacturing faster, cheaper, safer, and more scalable. Giga Berlin plant manager André Thierig announced the initiative on May 12, 2026.
