Windows Drops Under 60% Desktop Share

Windows fell to 56.55% of global desktop OS usage in June 2026, dropping below 60% for the first time in years. Linux reached 4.39%, one of its strongest showings. Apple's combined OS X and macOS share totaled 16.37%, while Chrome OS held 1.21%.
