A memory corruption vulnerability causing denial-of-service via stack overflow was fixed in Node.js v0.8.28 and v0.10.30. Deep recursive workloads like successive JSON.parse calls could trigger a segmentation fault. Tom Steele of Lift Security identified the issue.
