Red Queen Bio Raises $36M for AI Antibodies

Red Queen Bio, an OpenAI-backed biosecurity startup, has raised $36 million to design antibody drugs against viruses, including ones AI could help create. It starts with bird flu and influenza, plans first clinical trials in 2027, and later targets coronaviruses, Ebola-like viruses and smallpox relatives. OpenAI led its $15 million seed round announced last November.
