Intel shares surge after Trump touts deal with Apple

Intel shares jumped about 8% in early trade Thursday after President Trump said Apple agreed to work with Intel to design and manufacture chips in the United States. Trump wrote on Truth Social that he supported Intel because chips should be built in America. Neither Apple nor Intel has publicly commented.
