Nobel laureate doubts AI will revive growth

Nobel Prize-winning economist Christopher Pissarides told Bloomberg News there is little sign of a productivity boost from AI so far. He estimates up to 40% of jobs in the US and UK, including nursing and hospitality, will remain largely untouched by AI. Pissarides doubts AI will match the productivity growth of the 1980s and 1990s personal-computing boom.
