Toyota Advances Fluoride-Ion Battery Research

Toyota and Johns Hopkins University are using AI to speed up fluoride-ion EV battery research, cutting experiment time from 10 minutes to 3-4 minutes. The solid-state batteries promise up to seven times greater energy density than lithium-ion. LG Energy Solution began producing nickel-manganese-cobalt cells for Toyota in Lansing, Michigan.
