EU Fines Google $1 Billion Over DMA Violations

The European Union fined Google €890 million ($1 billion) on July 23 for violating the Digital Markets Act. A €460 million fine targets preferential treatment of Google's own services in Search, while a €430 million fine addresses restrictions on developer payment options in the Google Play Store. Google has 60 days to pay or face additional penalties.
