Instagram restricted nine posts by cartoonist Satish Acharya between February 28 and September 28, 2026, then withheld his account in India. Notices cited Section 79(3)(b) government requests or an automated system. Acharya says he received no communication from Instagram or any agency. Meta, MeitY and the Home Ministry have not responded to MediaNama's questions.
