Remote work rate barely changed in two years

Nearly 22% of U.S. workers worked from home at least part time in 2025, just one percentage point less than 2024, per Census Bureau data analyzed by the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis. The rate held at 22.3% in January 2026 and 22% in February. Amazon and JPMorgan mandates remain a minority practice.
