Canada invests $31M in Kardium heart device manufacturing

Kardium will receive up to $31.25 million from the Government of Canada to expand manufacturing in Burnaby, BC, from 500 to 30,000 annual units. The $125-million project aims to create 1,000 skilled jobs. Evonik Canada gets up to $68 million for a Nucleic Acid Competence Centre.
