Anthropic launched Claude Opus 5, priced the same as Opus 4.8 at $5 per million input tokens and $25 per million output tokens. It leads the Artificial Analysis leaderboard and comes close to Claude Fable 5 on coding and computer-use tests at half the cost. Opus 5 beat Fable 5 on OSWorld 2.0 at a third of the cost and more than doubled Opus 4.8's Frontier-Bench score.
