Googlebook Prices Shift Ahead of Launch

A week before Googlebook laptops launch on Oct. 4, OEMs have cut prices from Google's original figures. Dell's XPS Googlebook dropped from $1,199 to $999, Lenovo's 15-inch fell from $1,300 to $1,050, and HP's 14-inch is $100 cheaper. Acer's $899 is limited-time only. Google searches for 'Googlebooks' surface Google Books instead.
