Anthropic to release Mythos AI model with guardrails

Anthropic will launch a public version of its Mythos AI model under a different name with more guardrails than the version provided to Project Glasswing companies. The model found a 27-year-old flaw in OpenBSD and a 16-year-old vulnerability in FFmpeg. Mozilla reported Mythos helped fix 271 Firefox vulnerabilities, over 10 times more than Claude Opus 4.6.
