Tesla and SpaceX confirmed Terafab, their semiconductor megafactory, will be built in Grimes County, Texas, about an hour northwest of Houston. The initial phase costs roughly $16.8 billion, and the finished site will span over 100 million square feet, billed as the largest chip manufacturing facility on the planet.
