Meta and OpenAI Bet on Cute AI Hardware

Meta and OpenAI are pushing into dedicated AI hardware after devices like the Humane AI Pin flopped. OpenAI is working with designer Jony Ive and plans to ship no earlier than February 2027. Meta aims to launch the pendant-like Muse Charm, a Tamagotchi-style device, before this year's holiday shopping season. Both are priming users with software agents first.
