Microsoft Drops Copilot+ PC Branding on Surface

Microsoft has stopped using the Copilot+ PC label on its newest Surface computers, Surface corporate VP Brett Ostrum confirmed at Qualcomm's Snapdragon Summit 2026. The branding, launched in 2024 to flag Windows systems approved for local AI workloads, is absent from the 12-inch Surface Pro and 13-inch Surface Laptop, though both still meet its requirements. Qualcomm's Kedar Kondap expects other PCs to follow.
