Switzerland's federal government launched a pilot testing open-source alternatives to Microsoft 365 on 3,000 workstations, about 7% of the federal workforce. The migration targets completion by end of 2027. Results from "PoC BOSS" involving 172 employees testing openDesk were published September 3, 2026.
